The revolutionary THAYA inflatable kayak by GUMOTEX a.s. is made using a combination of patented NITRILON® material and the Drop Stitch* technology. THAYA's main qualities include outstanding stability, rigidity and manoeuvrability. The unique combination of the inflatable side tubes and modern Drop Stitch* technology maximizes the user’s comfort and improves the handling properties of the boat. THAYA, like all Gumotex inflatable kayaks, is low weight and very easy to roll-up to pack away.
THAYA is suitable for sheltered waters such as lakes, estuaries and rivers up to Gr 1 white water. The kayak can be fitted with an optional foredeck to radically reduce the amount of water spilling into the kayak while paddling through waves. THAYA is supplied with two seats but can be easily converted into a single with the seat positioned in the centre, or (with an additional seat) can be converted into a family 2 + 1 kayak fitting comfortably two adults and one child.
*The Drop Stitch technology is a very complex manufacturing process using two layers of polyester woven support fabric joined with thousands of fine polyester threads. This fabric, provided with an airtight coating on the outside of both layers is further laminated with Gumotex patented NITRILON® material for additional protection and durability. Thanks to the thousands of fibres holding the both layers together, these products can be inflated up to very high pressure.
The result is a rigid floor of the kayak offering great handling qualities while maintaining is easy foldability and low weight unlike most Drop Stitch materials used on inflatable SUPs. Welcome to Drop Stitch by Gumotex.
