SKEG for inflatable kayaks
The skeg improves kayak tracking when paddling in the sea or large open waters in general. It slides into its receiving patch on the underside of the kayak floor before you pump the floor up. The pressure of air lock the skeg tight in place so it does not move.
Gumotex SKEG requires installation of the Skeg Receiving Patch. Most Gumotex inflatable kayaks have the receiving patch installed from the factory.
Suitable for:
Twist 1, Twist 2, Helios 1, Helios 2, Swing 1, Swing 2, Solar 2, Solar 3, Framura, Seawave and Safari.
Note:
Don't sit in the kayak on the ground with the skeg installed. This can cause damage to the receiving patch and to the floor of the kayak.
