Galasport CAIPI
CAIPI is a model developed in collaboration with French top athlete Boris Neveu, who won World Championships in 2014 and 2021, also hold European Title from 2015. CAIPI was based on TIK TAK, compared to which the cockpit was moved few centimeters further back, stern deck behind the cockpit was lowered and the widest part of the boat was made longer in order to maintain the volume. The result of these changes formed nearly perfect slalom boat, that is easily maneuverable, holds the course nad hardly finds competition in turning abilities. Joe Clark won Olympic Gold in Rio in 2016 paddling CAIPI.

CARBOLIGHT CONSTRUCTION
Our top quality boat construction for the most demanding slalom racers who seek the finest quality, stiffness and design.
The boat is made using vacuum technology, where the epoxy resin hardens at high temperature.
Material composition:
- quality epoxy resin system
- about 80% carbon fabric and about 20% carbon-aramid fabric in places where more extra durability is required.
- a unique combination of 3 types of foam plates in the Pyramid shape.
- single aramid seams on the front inside and double seams on the back inside.
- seamless on the outside (except for the bow and stern tips for extra protection where there is a thin black aramid tape) for the best possible aerodynamics.
- special lightweight carbon/aramid internal reinforcements connecting the deck and the hull
Weights: K1 8.0 - 9.0 kg, C1 8.5 - 9.0 kg, C2 13 kg.
The weight of the boat depends on the volume of the boat (i.e.a boat for an 80 kg competitor is heavier than a boat for a 50 kg competitor).
The weight of the boat also depends on the colour design. The lightest is a boat with a clear carbon look.
Note: We deliver boats weighing less than 9 kg as it is required by ICF rules. When you finish assembly of all accessories (seats, footrests, kneeling box etc.), add some weight to meet the 9 kgs limit for the competition.
